The Galahad variety belongs to the group of soft-grained wheat varieties. Agronomic recommendations of the 1980s advised sowing this variety in September to maximize the effective use of the growing season.
Morphologically, the variety is known for its resistance to root lodging, which is due to the structural features of the stem and reduced load on the root system. The grain has a satisfactory specific weight.
Due to low baking qualities, the variety was traditionally used in blends for the production of confectionery and flatbreads, and was also used as a forage crop.
