Variety description

10 August 2026

The British variety Haven is a soft winter wheat derived from a three-way cross (Hedgehog × Norman) × Moulin. The variety is used in the baking industry; however, it is characterized by lower dough mixing intensity and is often used in blends with stronger varieties. The variety is frequently used as a parent line in breeding programs.

The American variety Haven is a hard red winter wheat adapted to conditions in the western regions of the USA. It is a semi-dwarf variety with high protein content.
