The variety belongs to the subspecies Triticum aestivum subsp. aestivum. Historically, it was valued for its earliness, which is reflected in its name, and its resistance to lodging, rust, and frost characteristic of the period of its creation. The plant has a significant stem height, which is typical for heirloom varieties.
As a bread wheat, the variety was considered one of the most successful in France of its time. In modern agronomy, it is practically not used for mass production, however, in European agricultural plant catalogs, it is maintained in the status of a conservation variety.
