In scientific literature, Henika is actively used as a biological subject in experiments on plant physiology, including studies of the effect of magnetic fields on germination and the evaluation of antioxidant properties. The variety also serves as significant genetic material in the study of wheat resistance to leaf rust due to the presence of the Lr1 gene.
