The variety is a winter wheat. Its origin is linked to the crossing of Norman and Hedgehog varieties, and the period of the variety's emergence dates back to 1986–1987.
The variety possesses variability in grain dormancy depending on environmental conditions during ripening. In studies, resistance to yellow rust was noted at levels Yr2, Yr6, Yr9.
In agronomic studies, the variety was used for the study of grain physiology, including alpha-amylase activity and pre-harvest sprouting.
