The Iena variety, also known by the code FD 69-29, is a winter soft wheat. The stem height of the plant varies from 66 to 80 cm, the upper internode is short (20–24 cm), the stem is hollow and thin (2.6–3.0 mm). The flag leaf has an erect position with a weak waxy bloom.
The ear is nodding, branching is absent. 36 to 42 grains are formed in the ear, and the grain weight per ear is estimated as medium. The variety is a registered genetic resource and is used as an object for scientific research and genotyping.
