Variety description

The variety was created by the method of individual selection from a hybrid population involving the varieties «Obriy», «Odesskaya 162» and «Ukrainka odesskaya». The plant is short-growing (short-stemmed) and demonstrates high resistance to lodging and shattering.

The variety possesses complex resistance to leaf rust and stem rust, powdery mildew, Fusarium head blight and common bunt. It is characterized by increased frost and drought tolerance, is responsive to high background fertility and withstands thickened sowing.

Belongs to the group of «strong» wheats with excellent baking qualities. The thousand kernel weight is 37–43 grams. The average yield in competitive variety trials reached 86.8 c/ha.
