Lindos belongs to winter soft wheat varieties. In breeding practice, the variety is known as material with studied characteristics of protein and gluten, as well as the presence of specific genes providing resistance to powdery mildew.
The variety was actively used in genetic research, in particular for the analysis of the diversity of European wheat varieties. At the current moment, the variety is considered historical and is absent from current commercial seed catalogs.
