The Lipa variety is a winter wheat genotype developed by specialists at the University of Zagreb. In scientific research, it serves as a subject for assessing yield potential, as well as for studying genetic breeding and crop regeneration methods.
Under laboratory conditions, the variety demonstrates an effective ability for callus formation and the regeneration of whole plants from immature inflorescences, sometimes outperforming other varieties. Quantitative productivity indicators include the number of grains per ear, which is approximately 67.93 units.
