The historical wheat variety Montezuma, also known as Montezuma Club, was classified as a club wheat. It was synonymous with the Big Club variety and was widely grown in California and Utah in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
The name Montezuma also refers to an early-maturing oat variety. This variety is characterized by its adaptation to hot and arid climate conditions.
