The variety belongs to the early-maturing group. Studies show low resistance to powdery mildew, which is why it is frequently used as a susceptible control variety during field trials.

The variety is characterized by high falling number values, reaching 408 seconds, which indicates low alpha-amylase activity. In addition, Mooni is suitable for use as a cover crop when establishing red clover seed plots and is adapted to northern conditions.
