The variety belongs to the second generation of Martonvásár wheat breeding, developed to improve yield potential and lodging resistance relative to the first generation of varieties. It was actively cultivated in the 1980s.
Plants of this generation were characterized by insufficient resistance to leaf and stem rust, which was addressed in subsequent breeding developments at the institute. The baking quality of the variety's grain was rated as comparable to the Bezostaya-1 variety.
