Natula is characterized by high technological grain properties corresponding to class A in the Polish classification of baking varieties. Studies of the composition of glutenin subunits confirm favorable characteristics for breeding, and the variety's flour is suitable for the production of pasta.

The variety shows resistance to powdery mildew and is an object of research regarding susceptibility to brown rust. Biochemical features of the composition of alkylresorcinols contained in the grain and roots of the plant have also been studied.
