The variety belongs to the lutescens (Alef) Mansf. variety and is a product of Bulgarian breeding. The parental form 90/Zhong 150 was used in its development.

The plant possesses pronounced drought tolerance. Comparative studies have shown that the variety demonstrates higher water exchange indices compared to the Katya variety, which is accepted in Bulgaria as the standard for this trait.
