Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety originates from the northern regions of Italy, in particular Veneto, where it was grown from the mid-19th to the early 20th century. It belongs to tall-stemmed varieties, which is a characteristic feature of traditional landrace wheats.

The plant possesses high yield stability and resistance to environmental conditions. In drought conditions, the variety demonstrates an increase in grain protein content. Due to the high stem height, the variety requires specific agrotechnical approaches and is not suitable for intensive technologies.

Flour from this variety is used in the production of traditional gastronomic products and is utilized in local supply chains focused on organic production and the restoration of genetic heritage.
