The variety belongs to the spring form of wheat and was bred in Czechoslovakia. In genealogical reference books, the origin is described as a selection from a variety with a solid stem, however, modern studies classify the stem of Ruzynska II as hollow.
In morphological observations, cases of the absence of development of the fifth internode were noted. The variety is stored in gene bank collections and is often used for genetic research, in particular in the analysis of the regeneration capacity of plants in anther culture in vitro.
