ActiveTriticum aestivum L. · Bread wheat
Syngenta Crop Protection AG
10 August 2026
The variety was isolated by breeder Magnus Selenius from a sample of the Tähti variety obtained from a local farmer. The plant is characterized by a long stem, the height of which in field conditions varies from 73 to 79 cm. The variety belongs to the late category, although in some trials it demonstrated early maturity dates.
The grain is distinguished by a high protein content (14.9–15.3%) and a thousand kernel weight of 32–32.6 g. The produce is suitable for the production of baking flour. The variety is an object of breeding work to increase resistance to lodging and adaptability to local climatic conditions, in particular, through crossing with the ApuRuso variety.
