Plants of the variety reach a height of 95–111 cm and are characterized by high resistance to lodging. The variety is responsive to nitrogen fertilizer application, which allows achieving a yield of 90–100 c/ha. The grain is distinguished by large size, high test weight, a gluten content of 19%, and crude protein of about 13.9%.

The variety is intended for cultivation in steppe zones. Under field conditions, it demonstrates resistance to major phytodiseases and tolerance to snow mold, however, it may be susceptible to common bunt and powdery mildew. Selianka is often used as breeding material for the development of new wheat varieties.
