The soft wheat variety TRIUNCIAL, also known by the breeding number ID-2105, was developed within the framework of scientific research projects in Spain. The main value of this variety is its high tolerance to the pest, the Hessian fly.
This resistance trait was introduced into the wheat genome through breeding using the wild grass Aegilops triuncialis.
