The variety is a winter form of soft wheat. The plant forms large spikes with awns, which, according to some observations, contributes to reduced bird damage to the spikes.
Among the main economic traits of the variety is a very high protein content in the grain. The variety exhibits resistance to lodging and stem breakage, due to which it is used in breeding work as a reference sample when creating new forms with valuable characteristics.
