The variety became the first adapted to intensive growing conditions and was dominant in production for a long time on the territory of the former Yugoslavia due to its high yield potential.
Agronomic studies noted that the milling and baking properties of the variety were assessed as unsatisfactory compared to modern quality standards. Breeding programs were aimed at maintaining yield potential while increasing resistance to stem rust, powdery mildew, Septoria, and Fusarium head blight.
