The variety is a winter form of durum wheat. The breeding process utilized segregating generations of the Novodur and Coopdur combination.

The plant possesses resistance to diseases in the adult stage, however, it may exhibit susceptibility to a number of pathogens at a young age.

The variety has a food application, focused on pasta production. At various times, the variety has been listed in the variety registers of Hungary, Croatia, and Slovakia.
