The variety is widely known in scientific literature as a typical representative of Italian durum wheat breeding. It is actively used in comparative trials for analyzing heat stress tolerance and studying the phytosanitary condition of crops, in particular, resistance to rust diseases.

In laboratory research, this variety is used to assess antioxidant activity and the arabinoxylan content in grain. Detailed morphological characteristics of the plant and detailed agronomic passports are absent in open sources.
