The Zvezditsa variety was bred in Bulgaria at the Institute of Cotton and Durum Wheat in the city of Chirpan. It is intended for use in the food industry, in particular for the production of pasta, semolina, bulgur, and couscous.

In field trials, the variety demonstrates high productivity, with a potential reaching 9 tons per hectare. The grain possesses high quality indicators for protein and gluten content. The variety was bred with a focus on adaptation to stress climatic factors, including drought and frosts.
