The variety is a mutant of the Bastia tulip. It is classified as fringed and is also double, with densely filled flowers whose edges have needle-like fringe. The color is deep, dark purple-red with a brownish tint.
The plant has very thick, rigid, and lodging-resistant stems, as well as bluish-green foliage that forms a dense rosette. The flowers retain their freshness for a long time after cutting.
The variety is intended for cultivation in flower beds, borders, group plantings, and containers, and is also used as a cut flower crop.
