The variety belongs to the Lily-flowered tulip class. The flowers have elongated, pointed petals that curve outward as they open. The coloration is described as crimson-maroon with a white border, the intensity of which may increase during flowering. The plant reaches a height of 45–60 cm, and the bloom size is 8–10 cm in height and up to 12 cm in diameter.

Flowering occurs in May and lasts about 10 days. The variety has a pronounced fragrance that intensifies when exposed to solar heat. The crop is intended for cultivation in mixed borders, parks, containers, and for cutting. The tulip requires planting in well-drained, sunny locations protected from wind and requires annual lifting of bulbs.
