The tulip variety Alibi belongs to the Triumph class. The plant reaches a height of 36 to 60 cm and has strong peduncles that are resistant to lodging. The flower is large, goblet-shaped, and 6–8 cm high. The petal color is lilac or pink-violet; upon opening, a softer pink shade with a white center may appear; buds usually do not open completely.

The variety is versatile: it is suitable for landscaping, growing in open field conditions, and commercial forcing. Successful forcing in water or soil requires a cooling period at 9 °C for 15 weeks; the start of greenhouse forcing is possible from January 5. The plant is low-maintenance, but sensitive to waterlogging, which can cause bulb rot.
