The Mondiano variety belongs to the Double Early Group. The flowers are peony-shaped and reach a height of approximately 4–4.5 cm. The petal color is red with a dark purple-red pattern.

The plant reaches a height of 36–37 cm. The variety is suitable for forcing, with a cooling period of 15 weeks and the earliest start of forcing possible from December 25. In terms of cultivation, the variety is characterized as having normal growth with a standard bulb propagation rate.

The use of the variety includes professional cut flower production, as well as decorative landscaping, including borders, flower beds, and container planting.
