The Monte Beau variety belongs to the Double Early tulip group and is a mutation of the Monte Carlo variety. The plant is characterized as low-growing, with a height ranging from 30 to 50 cm.

The flower is lemon-yellow with a light reddish tint on the petals, reaching 10 cm in diameter. The variety is early-flowering, with a flowering period in April-May.

The plant is suitable for planting in the open field in flowerbeds and borders, and is also suitable for forcing, including 9 °C treatment.
