The variety was obtained as a mutant of the tulip variety «Viking». It belongs to the Double Early group, which determines its early flowering, usually in April.

The flowers are characterized by a peony-like shape. The petal color is defined as yellow with an orange-brown hue, and in a number of descriptions it is also classified as bright orange.

This variety is intended for use in group garden plantings, landscaping, and is also suitable for forcing and cutting.
