The plant belongs to the 11th class of parrot tulips. Large cup-shaped flowers reach 8–12 cm in diameter when fully opened; their petals have deeply incised, fringed, and wavy edges characteristic of the group. The coloration is predominantly yellow, sometimes with green veins in the center of the petals.

The plant height is 45–60 cm; the foliage is narrow and dark green. The variety is late-flowering, with blooming occurring in the second half of May. The plant prefers sunny areas or light partial shade and requires loose, well-drained soils and protection from strong wind due to the risk of lodging of the large flower stalks.
