ActiveVaccinium corymbosum L. · Highbush blueberry
Wagner L. Adam, Boches Peter Stefan, Bermudo Antonio A. Alamo, Brazelton M. David
10 August 2026
The variety belongs to the group of half-highbush blueberries and was obtained by crossing the varieties Arne and Vaccinium angustifolium. The plant forms a lush, abundantly branching bush about 80–100 cm tall. The variety possesses high winter hardiness and disease resistance, which allows it to be grown in northern climatic conditions.
The berries are light blue with a waxy bloom, feature a sweet, mild taste, and are suitable for fresh consumption and freezing. The variety is considered productive, while also acting as an effective pollinator. The plant is often used in landscape design due to its decorative foliage, which turns red in autumn.
The harvest usually occurs in August and September. The fruits store well after ripening. The variety is intended primarily for amateur gardening, as its productivity may be insufficient for large-scale commercial production.
