The plant is an evergreen creeping shrub reaching a height of 10–30 cm. The variety is vigorous and forms a dense carpet due to its vigorous, thick, vertically directed shoots. Leaves are small, leathery, shiny, dark green in color. Flowers are small, white or pale pink in shade.

Fruits are large, round-oval in shape, with a weight of 1.3–1.8 g and a diameter of 20–24 mm, dark red in color with a glossy sheen or matte bloom. Berries have a sour taste, high density, and are capable of being stored for up to one year. The variety is late-maturing, characterized by regular fruiting and winter hardiness.
