The variety forms large, broad rosettes with long, matte, and slightly rough yellow-green leaves. This variety is a synonym for the well-known corn salad type listed in international registries as «Grote Noordhollandse».

The plant is early-maturing and characterized by lower cold tolerance compared to local Slovenian varieties. It does not tolerate waterlogged soils well, yet when adequate spacing is maintained, it is capable of producing large yields with high taste quality.
