Bia blanc is an old variety belonging to the Pelorsien eco-geographical group. Currently, it is practically not used for commercial purposes, however, it is included in programs for the preservation of historical heritage and the adaptation of viticulture to climate change in the Savoy region.

The variety belongs to the category of wine grapes and is intended for the creation of delicate and aromatic white wines. The plant is characterized by a late ripening period and the presence of perfect flowers. Within the framework of modern research, the variety is considered promising for cultivation with minimal chemical intervention.
