Syrah (Shiraz) is an ancient French wine grape variety obtained by natural crossing of Dureza and Mondeuse blanche varieties. Clone 174 was selected for specific economically useful traits and has become widespread in global viticulture for the production of high-quality wines.

The clone belongs to the medium or medium-late maturity group. It is distinguished by lower yields and smaller bunch weight compared to other clones, which contributes to better concentration of flavor and aromatic compounds. The wines are characterized by balance, deep color, and tannin structure.

The variety possesses disease resistance at the level of typical Vitis vinifera representatives and requires standard protection measures. Frost resistance is about -18...-22°C; in regions with a harsh climate, the plant requires covering. It has an exclusively industrial purpose.
