The variety belongs to the category of rare and forgotten autochthonous varieties of the Rueda region. Its ripening period is late, which is confirmed by the berry coloring phase (envero), occurring later than in the Verdejo variety.

The plant is characterized by a sprawling, tousled vine growth habit. The berries have a thick skin of a yellow shade, which makes the seeds inside almost invisible.
