Zurieles (also encountered as Zurieles-CM) is a traditional grape variety grown in various regions of Spain, including Castilla-La Mancha, Madrid, and Extremadura. The berries of the variety have white skin.
The ripening period of the variety depends on the conditions of the growing region: in the conditions of Madrid, it is characterized as late-ripening, whereas in Extremadura it shows signs of earlier, intermediate ripening.
The variety is used in winemaking, in particular for creating aromatic wines in blends. The presence of specific organic acids, such as hexanoic acid, has been recorded in the berries.
