The variety Bíró kékje, also known as Léna, belongs to table grape varieties. Its clusters are large, with an average weight of 350–400 g, capable of reaching up to 800 g. The berries are blue, shiny, oval-shaped, measuring approximately 25×15 mm. The skin is thin, the flesh is juicy with small seeds, and the taste is distinctly spicy and sweet.
The vines possess vigorous growth and good cane maturation. The variety is high-yielding and suitable for short pruning; however, due to the formation of a large number of shoots from latent buds, it requires regular thinning and shoot removal. The maturity group is early, 10–12 days later than the variety Csabagyöngye.
The variety is characterized by moderate susceptibility to major fungal diseases, including downy mildew, powdery mildew, and grey mold.
