Vriesea variety Delphinus (also spelled Delphinius) is a compact plant of the Bromeliaceae family, 10 to 20 cm in height. The leaves of the plant are solid, dark green in color, reaching 15–20 cm in length and 3–4 cm in width.
The inflorescence is 10–15 cm long and 5 to 10 cm in diameter. The flowers are colored in red-yellow tones. The plant is used as an ornamental foliage and flowering indoor crop.
