The variety is a local population adapted to the climate of mountainous terrain. The growing season is 120–130 days; plant height reaches 2 meters. The variety is grown in the province of Bergamo; sowing is carried out in April-May, and harvesting in September-October.
The ears are cylindrical in shape and 20–25 cm long, with a reddish cob and 14–16 rows of kernels. The kernels are semi-vitreous, yellow-orange in color, with a pronounced conical tip that facilitates drying in mountainous conditions. Yield is 35–40 c/ha; the variety is suitable for organic farming.
