The vertical growth of the Heuchera crown leads to gradual exposure of the stem, which necessitates regular division of the plant every 3–4 years or systematic mulching and hilling to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the border. Unlike deciduous crops, Heuchera retains its decorative rosette throughout the winter; therefore, pruning of leaves in autumn is prohibited—dead parts should only be removed during the spring.

Dense planting at intervals of 30–35 cm increases the risk of root rot, making the installation of drainage at a depth of 20–25 cm mandatory. When forming extended lines, it is important to consider the light regime: varieties with different leaf colors require individual selection of sun exposure to avoid loss of color intensity or fading of individual sections of the border.
