Unlike deciduous crops, Heuchera retains its decorative rosette throughout the winter; therefore, pruning of leaves in autumn is prohibited—dead parts should only be removed during the spring.

Dense planting at intervals of 30–35 cm increases the risk of root rot, making the installation of drainage at a depth of 20–25 cm mandatory.
