Hippeastrum flower diameter is a key quantitative morphological trait used for varietal identification and assessment of ornamental value, measured in centimeters.

Flower diameter values vary depending on the cultivar group: miniature varieties measure about 8–12 cm, medium- and large-flowered varieties measure 15–20 cm, and the largest hybrids can reach 25 cm or more. Measurement is performed using a ruler and is a mandatory parameter for DUS testing.

Flower size is directly dependent on the bulb's potential, which is determined by nutrient availability, light, and growing conditions. Under adverse factors, the diameter of subsequent generations decreases, and varieties with large inflorescences require an assessment of the hollow flower stalk's resistance to weight load.
