To ensure a compact habit and abundant flowering of Spanish lavender in pot culture, maintain temperatures below 20°C, avoiding levels above 25°C, which lead to undesirable shoot elongation. During the hardening-off period before sale, the optimal daytime temperature regime is 14–16°C. The plants require high light intensity (40–55 klx), supplemented with artificial lighting during the winter period if necessary.
An important aspect is moisture control: the substrate must dry out between waterings to prevent the development of root rots. During production, balanced mineral nutrition with an N-P-K ratio of 3-1-5 and the mandatory inclusion of trace elements is applied. The use of modern breeding series allows for the formation of a marketable crop appearance without the use of plant growth regulators or pinching.
