The forage productivity of meadow fescue is expressed in terms of dry matter mass, which reaches 50 c/ha, averaging 2.3–2.4 t/ha of dry matter. The seed productivity indicator under normal conditions varies from 100 to 150 kg/ha, reaching target values of 350–400 kg/ha and higher when optimizing agrotechnologies.
The maximum productivity of the crop is recorded in the 2nd–4th years of life and is maintained for up to 5–8 years. Important factors include moisture availability, optimal stand density (132–254 plants/m²), the use of row spacing of up to 30 cm for seed crops, and balanced nitrogen nutrition that prevents lodging.
