This state is not permanent and is capable of changing during the plant's ontogeny or through vegetative propagation.

Regarding abiotic stresses, tolerance is evaluated through transpiration intensity (TI), measured in mg/h per dm² of leaf surface. Varieties with a high amplitude of TI fluctuations, ranging from 2118 to 3317 mg/h per dm², are classified as hydrolabile and are capable of effectively adapting to hot conditions when irrigation is available.
