The variety is a selection form of cherry plum selected in western Slovakia. It is used exclusively as a rootstock and is not grown for fruit production. The rootstock demonstrates good compatibility with grafted varieties and relatively low root suckering.
Growth vigor is assessed as medium; trees on this rootstock show more restrained growth in comparison with cherry plum seedlings. The rootstock is winter hardy and possesses tolerance to Plum pox virus. It prefers light, warm soils but is sensitive to drying out of the root system.
Propagation is carried out primarily by softwood or hardwood cuttings, although seed progeny is also characterized by relative uniformity.
