The indicator is calculated according to standard requirements, where 90–100% is considered a high value, and stable rates of 95–100% are highly valued in breeding.

A decrease in marketability below 90% is usually caused by the overgrowth of root crops, adverse weather conditions that trigger bolting, or agrotechnical errors such as moisture deficit and an excess of nitrogen fertilizers. Timeliness of harvesting is a critical factor, as keeping radish in the soil for too long leads to a loss of succulence and cracking.
