The yield of horseradish varies between 10–30 tons per hectare. For the 'Uvarovsky' variety, when agrotechnical practices are followed, the marketable yield is 14.8–15.3 t/ha with a total yield of about 30.9 t/ha. In small-scale vegetable production, the yield indicators for varieties are often estimated in the range of 1.5–1.8 kg/m².
The productivity of the crop directly depends on the quality of the root cuttings: a cutting length of 15–20 cm ensures high initial growth energy. Planting at a 45° angle reduces rhizome breakage and increases the yield of marketable produce. Furthermore, the final crop volume and the weight of individual rhizomes are significantly influenced by the planting pattern, which determines the nutrition area, and the harvest timing, which allows for additional rhizome growth during the autumn period.
